My son has just introduced a larger upper inserts Pallatal ... It has been complaing of pain and can not speak, and he drools a lot. How long will drool and say nothing happened?

I had one, and does not hurt, only accidentally so. It hurts just the first few days of adjustment, then it feels like a pressure on the jaw. Perhaps your child is afraid to talk, because there is a lisp, but only the beginning.
